Can reformism be a strategy for abolitionism? |
Emil Franzinelli, Heiko Weber |
Since several presentations at the conference will include or even focus on the effectiveness of reformist vs. abolitionist animal rights work, it is important that we come to a common understanding, what is meant by "reformism" and "abolitionism". Recent publications and presentations have shown a blurring of these two strategies, similar like animal rights and animal welfare have been blurred. In this discussion an introduction will be given and then hopefully a lively and constructive discussion will provide a basis which will put the following presentations about reformism and abolitionism on a more stable ground. |
